PSHE – 2015-16

PSHE is seen as a key subject at Margaret Beaufort Academy. We aim to ensure our PSHE curriculum promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of students at the school and of society. We also aim to prepare our students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

PSHE education is a planned programme of learning through which students acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives now and in the future. As part of a whole school approach, it develops the qualities and attributes students need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.

Our PSHE curriculum is based on three ‘core themes’ (within which there will be overlap and flexibility):

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Relationships
  • Living in the Wider World
